‘Twiggy’ was diagnosed with osteoporosis in February 2022. “While doing my shoulder surgery, the suture the surgeon tried to screw into the bone came off as my bone was too soft! So he referred me for a DEXA.”
The DEXA revealed significant bone loss, particularly in the lumbar spine.
Twiggy started using the Marodyne LiV in October 2022, alongside a lot of positive lifestyle changes.
“I realised I wasn’t eating enough calcium and protein. I started eating more dairy and bony fish, like anchovies and sardines.”
Twiggy also started taking supplements, such as calcium, vitamin D, omega 3, zinc, vitamin K2 and whey protein.
Fast forward to 2024 and another DEXA scan revealed promising results – “I received my DEXA results and I am so pleased”
“About half of my scores have gone from osteoporotic to osteopenic – improvements in L3 and L4 are particularly significant!”
