Anne got in contact with us in June 2024 to tell us about her success using the Marodyne LiV.
Anne takes Letrozole for breast cancer to reduce the risk of recurrence. Letrozole belongs to a group of drugs called aromatase inhibitors; a type of hormone therapy used to treat breast cancer in women who have gone through a natural menopause. Aromatase inhibitors reduce the amount of oestrogen made in the body, which can reduce bone density and increase risk of fracture.
Anne went to Dr. Nick Birch from Osteoscan for a REMS scan in February 2023. Her results were osteoporotic, and through advice from Dr.Birch, Anne was prompted to try a Marodyne LiV device.
“I’ve been using my Marodyne every day for just over a year.”
A repeated scan in May 2024 showed a slight increase in bone density in the spine and femur.
“Dr. Birch told me about how being on Letrozole without taking medication for bones would normally result in a significant decrease in bone density and a greater increase in fragility.”
“He suggested that the use of the Marodyne negated what would have been the negative consequences of taking letrozole.”
“He said my results are spectacular!”
