Research shows that 10 minutes of daily use is most effective. We recognise it may not always be possible to use your device every day, but you should aim for at least five sessions per week to receive all the clinical benefits.
We recommend spending at least 10 minutes per day on the device, but you can use it more often if you wish. Marodyne LiV is safe to use for a total of four hours per day.
Multiple uses can increase responsiveness of cells to mechanical stimulation, which can further the therapeutic effects. If you are planning to use the device more than once, ideally you should allow a period of 2-5 hours between sessions. This allows cells time to rest and recover.
If you are unable to stand on the device for the full session, you can break it up into smaller sessions and build your way up to 10 minutes. It’s about finding what works for you.
We recommend you do not wear shoes on the Marodyne LiV device, since the signals are most effective at targeting your bones when your feet are in direct contact with the platform. Socks are fine to wear.
Step onto the device from the back and place your feet shoulder width apart, with your big toes in line with the bottom of the Marodyne LiV logo. A single green light on the display will indicate that you are balanced correctly. You should look forward with your head up, and you should be able to feel the vibrations all the way up to your jaw.
Extensive research shows that Marodyne LiV can be used safely by people of all ages, from young children aged three to elderly people aged over 100, with no known contraindications or side effects.
Marodyne LiV is designed to be used while standing because in this position the frequency and amplitude of the vibrations are optimised to be exactly right for your legs, hips and back. If you perform push-ups or use the device not as instructed you may damage it and invalidate your warranty.
The Marodyne LiV device can be used by people between 30kg (66 lb) and 125kg (275 lb).
The safety and effectiveness of using the Marodyne LiV while pregnant has not yet been established. If you are pregnant, please consult a doctor before using the device.
Yes! The device comes with a handy travel case for this purpose. When transporting the device, ensure the device is stored flat in its case with the protective foam band fastened securely around the sides of the device, tucked just below the platform rim. If you are taking your device on a plane, ensure the device is in your hand luggage and secured flat in an overhead locker.
Users who may be unable to understand and follow the Instructions For Use manual may only use the device after consultation with their doctor, and only under suitable guidance and supervision.
Results vary between people, but improved bone density results are expected in about 18 months. You may experience improvements in muscle strength, balance, pain relief and general fitness much sooner.
Yes, Marodyne LiV is medically certified to stimulate blood circulation and lymphatic flow.
The Low-intensity Vibrations produced by Marodyne LiV have no known effects on the brain.
Although LiV is known to target fat cells in bone marrow, weight loss is influenced by a wide range of factors. Because of this, it is impossible to say if using the Marodyne LiV would have an impact on your weight.
After over 35 years of research studying a variety of frequencies and amplitudes, it was found that this dose was safest and most effective at boosting bone density.
The Marodyne LiV device weighs 8.1kg (17.85lb).
The dimensions are: H/W/D: 7.7/45.7/35.6 cm : 3.03/17.99/14.01 in.
Yes, the Marodyne LiV device is a class IIa medical device, approved by the British Standards Institution (BSI).
Most vibration machines in gyms are larger platforms with a much higher g-force output. This can be dangerous for individuals with osteoporosis. Vibrating machines at the gym are also focused on strength training and so do not offer the same clinical benefits as Marodyne LiV.
High-intensity vibration carries a high potential risk and has many contraindications and side effects for users with underlying health conditions such as osteoporosis, whereas Low-intensity Vibration gently stimulates the body and has no contraindications or side effects which makes it safe for anyone to use.
Marodyne LiV is 100% safe to be used at home. Based on the guidelines of the ISO and OSHA regarding vibration (ISO 2631), under normal conditions Marodyne LiV will cause no adverse or harmful effects to users.
There is substantial scientific research that has established Low-intensity Vibration as an effective tool for promoting bone growth to prevent and treat osteoporosis.
The Marodyne LiV emits gentle, precise vibrations that have been shown to stimulate bone building cells (osteoblasts), while also inhibiting bone-wasting cells (osteoclasts). Read the research here.
The Marodyne LiV is very quiet and definitely won’t disturb the neighbours. Incorrect posture can sometimes cause the machine to emit a little noise. To stop the noise, you may need to slightly adjust your stance.
If you remain in the same stance for too long, the sensors in the device may think you have stepped off and cause the device to go into standby mode. Make a slight gentle movement such as shifting your weight side to side to restart the vibrations. Stepping off the device and stepping back on again can also restart the vibrations. Please ensure you are positioned on the device as per the user manual.
If you have a diagnosed chronic illness or disability, such as osteoporosis, you may qualify for VAT relief when you purchase your Marodyne LiV device. Find out more here.
